IHSA Student-athletes Still Not Able To Play 2021 Season Because COVID-19

Chicago,IL — Another year but the same season remains nonexistent.

Student-athletes stand by while they watch their career go down the drain, from parents to fan’s wanting to see their freshman touch the field or court for the first time almost seems like a dream. Seniors who didn’t get a chance to commit to a college, probably want get a chance to prove themselves because of COVID-19.

The Coach job has been put on hold, the most a coach can do now is continuously tell their players to stay in shape. Most importantly the kid’s career, because you can’t receive a scholarship if you haven’t played any games how would they recruit you with no games to watch. For so many years IHSA has had players make it to the NBA , NFL and MLB, this is the main start point in high school.

Wednesday the board had a meeting, while the IHSA confirmed “ It does hope to conduct all IHSA sport’s during the remaining of the school year “ but the student-athletics would love to know when like a date.
