Justin Fields at Bears Practice.

Justin Fields rookie season was not what fan’s expected, and many NFL fans claim that former head coach Matt Nagy was the cause.

Chicago Bears Fields’ rookie season was as bad as ever. It was defined by deficient line play, terrible coaching, and plenty injuries. Fields also, of course, made some mistakes of his own, but he certainly wasn’t put in good positions to succeed thanks to his team.

Fields finished the season with 1,870 yards (155.8 yards per game), seven touchdowns, 10 interceptions, completing only 58.9% of his passes. It was overall a terrible season from Fields as he ranked at the bottom in all major advanced passing metrics. However, again, bad coaching and a bad support may have played a major part in this situation.
