The man known as the Boss of Bosses

A legendary Mexican drug lord convicted of the murder of a U.S. undercover agent has been granted house arrest because of his life threatening health. Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo was considered Mexico’s most powerful drug trafficker when he was arrested for the murder of U.S agent.

The 76-year-old founder of the Guadalajara cartel has been in prison since 1989 and is blind in one eye and deaf in one ear. This will give him a chance to live his last days on earth, on the other side of the wall.

Felix Gallardo has served 33 years of a 40-year prison sentence. So he only had seven years remaining on his sentence, which is one of the reasons he is being released from prison early.

Although Felix Gallardo’s organization is considered the father of modern Mexican drug cartels today, many still praise them as being the original cartel. It was one of the first cartels to make contact with Colombian drug lords, working to deliver cocaine up from the country to the United States.

They have had him in so many movies and series, being played by so great actors as we know today so of course he is highly respected.
